Flushing multiple outboards after every saltwater trip is a time consuming part of boat ownership. This Reverso installation makes it considerably easier, using a permanently installed system to flush each outboard automatically from a single freshwater connection.
On this installation we also brought the boat's Seakeeper gyro into the freshwater flushing setup, so another saltwater cooled system gets flushed as part of the same process.
The goal was simple: make routine freshwater flushing easy enough that it stays routine.

The work
What the installation involved:
- The Reverso system installed permanently onboard
- Plumbing run directly to the outboards' freshwater flushing connections
- A dedicated freshwater inlet and control switch put somewhere convenient
- Flush lines routed through the boat's existing rigging to each engine
- The Seakeeper gyro's raw water circuit tied into the same system
- Testing to confirm flow and operation through every connected component
Instead of connecting a hose to each outboard after every trip, the owner connects one hose, pushes a button, and the system cycles through the engines one at a time and shuts itself off.
Why we like these
It makes routine flushing easier. One connection and a button replaces flushing each outboard individually.
It saves real time on multi engine boats, and the benefit grows with three or four outboards to flush after every trip.
It protects equipment you have already paid for, by making the care of it easier.
